DHT120

DHT120 is a purpose-built full hybrid transmission for A and B-segment vehicles, delivering full hybrid performance at entry-segment cost. Compatible with both conventional ICE and dedicated hybrid engines, it enables OEMs to hybridise existing vehicle platforms without engine replacement or vehicle redesign

Full hybrid performance for A and B-segment vehicles, with <31% fuel savings versus a conventional DCT and <4L/100km validated on WLTP cycle. The DHT120 delivers EV-like drivability through a compact 5-axis, 7-gear architecture with dual e-motor design.

The compact 5-axis, 7-gear architecture eliminates unnecessary complexity by minimising rotating components and integrating the e-pump, e-clutch, and heat exchanger into a single unit. At 87.5 kg and 355 mm axial length, DHT120 is engineered to fit A and B-segment packaging constraints without compromise.

The integrated powertrain domain controller manages Vehicle Control, Hybrid Control, Transmission Control, and Motor Control on a single board, replacing multiple separate ECUs and reducing system cost and integration complexity. The electromagnetically actuated dog clutch replaces conventional hydraulic actuation entirely, cutting both cost and energy losses.

The full software stack is ISO 26262 functional safety and ISO 21434 cybersecurity compliant, matured across hundreds of production applications. Tailor-made vehicle level calibration is available based on customer and homologation requirements, ensuring DHT120 performs optimally across different engine configurations, driving conditions, and market requirements.

Target Applications

DHT120 is purpose-built for A and B-segment passenger cars and B-segment SUVs, the highest-volume, most price-sensitive segment in global passenger car markets. It supports FHEV, PHEV, and EREV configurations from the same base architecture, allowing OEMs to select the appropriate electrification level per programme without a full system redesign.

Meeting Emissions Targets Worldwide

Fleet operators and OEMs across global markets face tightening emissions targets. In Europe, Euro 7 standards are raising the bar for passenger car emissions. In China, the NEV dual-credit policy is accelerating the transition away from conventional ICE powertrains. In Malaysia, the National Automotive Policy (NAP 2020) and Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint are driving hybrid and energy-efficient vehicle adoption. In India, CAFE III norms tightening from April 2027 are pushing OEMs toward affordable hybridisation solutions. DHT120 provides a practical, cost-effective path to compliance across all these markets without requiring a new vehicle platform or engine development programme.

Operating Modes

DHT120 supports four hybrid operating modes for intelligent energy management across all driving conditions.

Series — engine generates power, e-motor drives the wheels

Parallel — engine and e-motor work together for maximum performance

EV — pure electric driving for zero-emission intervals

Standstill Charging — engine charges the battery while stationary

What makes our DHT 48V different

Compact design

At 87.5 kg and 355 mm axial length, DHT120 is the most compact full hybrid transmission available for A and B-segment vehicles. The 5-axis, 7-gear architecture minimises rotating components and eliminates hydraulic actuation entirely.

Up to 31% fuel efficiency

Up to 31% fuel consumption reduction versus conventional DCT on WLTP 3-phase cycle. Over 55% fuel saving in city cycles versus conventional ICE. Below 4L/100km for B-segment vehicles with a 1.0L GDI engine.

Modular architecture

FHEV, PHEV, and EREV configurations from the same platform. Scalable dual e-motor design with power and torque configurable per programme. Common software platform with the full DHT family.
