DHT L is a dedicated hybrid transmission purpose-built for ladder-chassis SUVs, pick-up trucks, and light commercial vehicles. Its longitudinal architecture offers drop-in compatibility with existing RWD and AWD platforms, allowing OEMs to hybridise current vehicle architectures without a new engine or vehicle platform investment. DHT L is available in two power configurations, DHT90L and DHT120L, to suit different vehicle and application requirements.

Full hybrid capability for ladder-chassis SUVs, pick-ups, and light commercial vehicles. Drop-in compatible with RWD and AWD platforms. Over 40% fuel saving on certification cycles versus conventional ICE.
The longitudinal two-speed architecture uses a P1 + P3 dual e-motor topology with the output shaft inline with the input shaft, enabling straightforward integration into existing transmission tunnels. No starter motor is required as the engine is cranked through P1. Electromechanical clutches ensure smooth gear engagement, and P3 provides continuous torque during gear shifts, eliminating torque interruption entirely.
The integrated powertrain domain controller manages driver demand, torque split, transmission control, and dual motor control on a single unit, replacing multiple separate ECUs and reducing system cost and integration complexity. The full software stack is ISO 26262 functional safety and ISO 21434 cybersecurity compliant, matured across hundreds of production applications. The 340V platform suits mid-size SUVs and light commercial vehicles, with an 800V variant available for heavy-duty applications.
Built for Ladder-Chassis Vehicles and Light Commercial Platforms
DHT L is purpose-built for ladder-chassis SUVs, pick-up trucks, small commercial vehicles (SCV), and light commercial vehicles (LCV). It supports FHEV, PHEV, and EREV configurations from the same base architecture, allowing OEMs to select the appropriate electrification level per programme without a full system redesign. Both RWD and AWD drivetrains are supported from the same platform.
Meeting Emissions Targets Worldwide
OEMs developing ladder-chassis SUVs and light commercial vehicles face tightening emissions targets across every major market. In Europe, Euro 7 standards are raising the bar for commercial vehicle emissions. In China, the NEV dual-credit policy is accelerating the shift away from conventional ICE powertrains in the commercial segment. In Malaysia, the National Automotive Policy (NAP 2020) and Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint are driving hybrid and energy-efficient vehicle adoption. In India, CAFE III norms tightening from April 2027 are pushing OEMs toward affordable hybridisation solutions. DHT L provides a practical, cost-effective path to compliance across all these markets without requiring a new vehicle platform or engine development programme.
Operating Modes
DHT L supports three hybrid operating modes for intelligent energy management across all driving conditions.
Series — engine generates power, e-motor drives the wheels
Parallel — engine and e-motor work together for maximum performance
EV — pure electric driving for zero-emission intervals

What makes our DHT 48V different
Compact design
Purpose-built for ladder-chassis platforms, DHT L uses a longitudinal two-speed P1 + P3 topology with the output shaft inline with the input shaft. This enables direct integration into existing transmission tunnels without modifying the vehicle architecture.
Best-in-class efficiency
DHT L supports both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations from the same platform, giving OEMs maximum flexibility across different vehicle specifications and market requirements without additional development investment.
Modular architecture
The two-speed P1 + P3 topology covers a broad speed and torque range, delivering strong low-speed torque for off-road and load-carrying applications while maintaining highway efficiency. P3 provides continuous torque during gear shifts for a seamless driving experience.
