Higher torque for the compact mid segment.The DT2C brings the dual clutch design into a higher torque class, giving driving comfort and efficiency where heavier applications need it, at a cost effective price point.
The DT2C uses Punch Powertrain’s reinvention of the dual clutch principle. One of the two clutches contains a planetary gearset that engages between the engine and the transmission, letting the unit shift seamlessly across 7 forward ratios and 1 reverse using lesser gear pairs. This results in a lighter and more compact product ready for conventional applications. The DT2C is intended for vehicles with engine torque up to 350 Nm, and final drive options ranging first gear ratios from 14.4 to 18.6. This versatile ratio range matches many applications of engine torque and vehicle weight combinations, providing smooth acceleration in any situation from steep inclines to stop and go city traffic.
