About us
Punch Powertrain and Stellantis operate two joint ventures to focus on the production of Punch Powertrain’s eDCT/DT2 transmission for mild hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV).
Punch Powertrain PSA E-Transmissions (Sint-Truiden, Belgium) manufactures and provides key components for its assembly affiliate Punch Powertrain PSA E-Transmissions Assembly (Metz, France and Mirafiori, Italy).
The DT2 hybrid transmission is one of the most significant technologies to be realized by Punch Powertrain. Alongside its EV product suite, the DT2 demonstrates the company’s transition from conventional to electrified and electric transmission systems, and an important step forward in green technology deployable at scale.
This hybrid dual clutch transmission also signifies growth in European and global markets for the company, as with DT2 it is poised to become the largest Tier 1 supplier of hybrid DCTs worldwide by 2025.

Products in Focus
Punch Powertrain DCTs are fundamentally different from traditional DCTs:
DT2 The DT2 is Punch Powertrain’s hybrid transmission for either a mild hybrid (48V) or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) electric motor in a P2 configuration.
DT2 PHEV Our DT2 PHEV plug-in variant, available up to 92 kW / 115 kW (320V) in a P2 configuration, is capable of powering a hybrid purely electrically for sustained periods (depending on the size of the battery pack).
DT2 MHEV Our DT2 MHEV is an exceptionally compact 48V hybrid DCT that fits into the packaging of a conventional DCT. It offers a flexible, integrated and low cost hybrid system with over 21 kW /24 kW of electrification power.
