On July 30th , 2022 NIO held ‘NIO partner day’ in Hefei, China. NIO is a Chinese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Shanghai, specializing in designing and developing electric vehicles. At this event Weibang has been recognized by NIO and won the ShouWang award by virtue of its excellent product technology ability and excellent supply capacity. ShouWang means “defence and anticipation” in Chinese. It represents and recognizes Weibang’s efforts to ensure supply during the epidemic period.
The event was attended by Li Bin, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, Xiang Xingchu , Secretary of the Party committee and chairman of Jiangqi group, Chen Yudong , President of Bosch, China. The event gathered more than 500 leading enterprises from the fields of automobile manufacturing, supply chain and financial investment to share the win-win results of cooperation and explore the prospects of industrial development.
Weibang was established in June 2018 as a joint venture between Punch Powertrain and XPT, combining the expertise of both in the field of EV and transmission manufacturing.
It is the goal of Weibang to be a cost efficient, high quality and reliable partner in the manufacturing and sales of transmissions for the electrical vehicle market. Weibang has successfully delivered more than 300,000 + Electric Propulsion Systems to customers of both partners till date.
