Punch Powertrain team from Clermont-Ferrand, France participated in Golden Tech 2023 in Lyon, France and won in the “Motion Control” category.
Golden Tech is a competition of industrial excellence which honors the most successful companies in the technological field. Companies can compete and a ranking is established according to the performance during the event in various categories. Punch Powertrain participated in the “Motion Control “competition, in which only 8 companies were shortlisted to compete.
Punch Powertrain was represented by a team of experts in electric propulsion systems: Ludovic Fernandes (Methods), Herve Laroche (Global Cluster Leader E-drive Production Production Process, Benjamin Benoit (PD&I IT programmer), Clément Floury (PD&I Mechanical engineer) and Guilhem Paul (PD&I IT programmer). During the competition Benjamin Benoit was tasked with realizing assembly program of a hydrogen battery within 2 hours, using the Beckhoff Xplanar conveyor, based on magnetic levitation technology . Punch Powertrain delivered the most optimized program, well within the time limit, and gained bonus points to rank 1st among the participants.
