Dedicated Hybrid Transmission

The DHT family is a range of purpose-built Dedicated Hybrid Transmissions covering every vehicle segment, from A/B-segment passenger cars to compact SUVs, larger SUVs, and light commercial vehicles. All DHT variants are available with FHEV, PHEV, and EREV configurations from the same platform.

From entry-level commercial vehicles to large SUVs, every DHT variant delivers measurable fuel savings, EV-like drivability, and full hybrid capability without engine replacement or vehicle redesign.

The DHT family runs on a common software platform, the Punch Modular Architecture (PUMA), integrating Vehicle Control, Hybrid Control, Transmission Control, and Motor Control on a single board. This eliminates multiple separate ECUs, reducing system cost and integration complexity across all programmes.

All variants use an electromagnetically actuated dog clutch that replaces conventional hydraulic actuation entirely. Combined with oil-cooled dual e-motor design and an integrated e-pump, the architecture is engineered to minimise parasitic losses and maximise powertrain efficiency.
